Nice filter, nice barista

Nest has become my go-to for coffee in Chișinău. I’m admittedly quite particular about coffee, and what I appreciate most here is the consistency — I’ve been back many times and the coffee is reliably excellent. There’s also a great terrace, a relaxed atmosphere, and it’s the kind of place where you can happily stay for a while rather than just grab a coffee and leave. Good for working, meeting someone, or simply enjoying a great coffee! They have a shelf of bring a book take a book. One of the few places I recommend without hesitation to anyone who takes their coffee seriously.

When I visited, I had a Colombia Paraiso 92 Wilton Benitzez from Wonder & Full (Ukraine). Light (not Nordic light) roasts from Wonderful in Ukraine, Hands & Hearts, rotating selection. Absolutely would return. Very passionate owner who was knowledgeable about the beans and natural process’ impact on the cup profile. The shop is about one year old and is an exemplar of the rapidly improving Moldovan specialty coffee scene. Nicely presented in glass server with local porcelain mug and water cup. Top 3 coffee shop in Moldova competing with BRUN and Kosmonavtica for tops in pure pourover coffee quality. Congratulations to the Nest team for such an excellently executed coffee experience.

I came here early morning since it was the only cafe that was opened. I ended up spending more than two hours here. The barista, Julian is an amazing guy and provided exceptional service. Made me feel welcomed in Moldova. The flat white was also perfect for a morning shot. Definitely recommend!
